Hosted by the Fujian Ocean Innovation Center (Fujian-OI), this reception will provide an opportunity to introduce the Center’s mission and vision to a global audience, promote cross-sector cooperation, and explore future collaborative innovation opportunities across science, technology, governance, and culture.

Fujian-OI is an independent novel research institution that was officially established in October 2024. It is dedicated to being a novel research and innovation center for empowering marine industrial development and societal sustainability. It was initiated and jointly designed by Xiamen University and the Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, China.

Fujian-OI envisions itself to become a world-class innovation hub for empowering cutting-edge marine research, ocean-related industries, and ocean sustainability in Xiamen & Fujian, and for the region & the world too. Fujian-OI’s mission is a) to establish an innovation ecosystem for the ocean that embraces various key stakeholders along the innovation chain, and b) to form a full-chain innovation paradigm ranging from basic research to industrial incubation and cultivation.

全球瞩目的第三届联合国海洋大会（UNOC3）即将于2025年6月3-13日在法国尼斯盛大举行。值此重要国际机遇，鹭江创新实验室将于2025年6月8日晚举办国际宣讲交流会，旨在逐步提高鹭江创新实验室的国际知名度，同步链接海洋领域产学研及科技创新的国际资源，培育、拓展未来潜在合作。此外，也希望借此机会吸引国内外高层次人才加盟。

福建省海洋科学与技术创新实验室（鹭江创新实验室，英文简写“Fujian-OI”）于2024年10月获批成立。实验室由厦门市政府举办，依托厦门大学和自然资源部第三海洋研究所、并协同省内外优势涉海科技领军企业、科研机构等共同建设，是具备独立法人资格的新型研发机构。

实验室致力于开展海洋科学与技术领域的高水平原始创新和科技成果汇聚与转化工作，面向区域发展和产业应用需求，通过海洋及相关领域的科学研究、试验发展、技术服务、产品开发、人才培养、专业培训等实践，着力构建集科研、产业、人才、资本“四位一体”的海洋科技创新生态系统。
