OceanBioX_FutureLab is driving a paradigm shift in marine biomanufacturing by establishing an AI-driven, wet–dry closed-loop intelligent R&D system. The Centre focuses on three frontier directions: photosynthetic animal biomimicry, biomaterials from extreme environments, and deep-sea “dark matter” biosynthetic biomanufacturing. By tightly integrating computational intelligence with automated experimentation, it aims to increase R&D efficiency by one to two orders of magnitude. The Centre is designed to unlock disruptive biological functions, accelerate technology translation, and incubate next-generation hard-technology enterprises, positioning itself at the forefront of the global blue bioeconomy.
